Job description

  • Handling daily purchasing related activities
  • Support the development of regional sourcing strategies including market analysis
  • Actively looking and analyzing  price offers
  • Negotiations of prices as well as cooperation conditions according to zooplus standards
  • Creating purchasing contracts
  • Executing general administrative tasks
  • Verifying and validating invoices
  • Supporting Controlling department in monthly/quarterly/yearly closing.
  • Support in managing the relationship with new/existing suppliers in close cooperation with Accounting, Category Management and other Supply Chain functions
  • Analyzing the supplier performance within the zooplus portfolio
  • Ensure high level of data quality and timely implementation in the zooplus system
  • Actively taking part in projects lead by Purchasing department
  • Close cooperation with other procurement teams
  • Implementation of  tasks provided by superior


  • Very good degree in Economics Management or Logistics
  • 1-3 years of experience in retail/consumer goods purchasing, experience in the area of pet food and animal supplies will be an asset
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Proficiency in MS Excel and PowerPoint
  • Outstanding analytical skills
  • Interest in retail, e-commerce and high online affinity
  • Excellent verbal and written English skills; German language skills as an advantage.
